Welcome to Surehand! This guide will help you get your service business up and running quickly.

Setting Up Your Account

The first step is creating your Surehand account. Head over to our signup page and create your free account. You'll get 30 days free to try everything out.

Initial Setup Steps

  1. Create Your Profile

    • Add your business name and logo
    • Set your business hours
    • Configure your timezone
  2. Add Your First Customers

    • Import existing customer data (CSV supported)
    • Or manually add customers one by one
    • Include contact information and service history
  3. Set Up Your Services

    • Define your service types
    • Set standard pricing
    • Create service templates for quick quoting

Scheduling Your First Job

Once your account is set up, scheduling jobs is straightforward:

  1. Navigate to the Schedule section
  2. Click New Job
  3. Select a customer (or create a new one)
  4. Choose the service type
  5. Pick a date and time
  6. Add any special notes or requirements

That's it! Your job is now scheduled and you'll see it on your calendar.

Creating Your First Quote

Quotes help you win more business. Here's how to create one:

  1. Go to Quotes and click New Quote
  2. Select the customer
  3. Add line items for services and materials
  4. Include any photos or documentation
  5. Set the quote expiration date
  6. Send it directly to the customer via email

Customers can view quotes online and approve them with one click.

Sending Invoices

After completing a job, send an invoice immediately:

  1. Find the completed job in your schedule
  2. Click Create Invoice
  3. Review the details (automatically populated from the job)
  4. Add any additional charges or notes
  5. Send via email or SMS

Customers can pay online directly from the invoice, which means faster payments for you.

  • Use Recurring Jobs: Set up recurring schedules for regular customers to save time
  • Track Everything: Add notes and photos to jobs for better customer communication
  • Follow Up: Use automated reminders to follow up on quotes and overdue invoices
  • Go Mobile: Download our mobile app to manage jobs on the go
