Account & Data Deletion – Surehand

1. How to Request Account Deletion

To request deletion of your Surehand account and associated data, send an email to support@surehandapp.com with the following details:

• Subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
• Account email address registered with Surehand
• Business name associated with the account
• Reason for deletion (optional, but helps us improve)

2. Verification Process

To protect your account, we verify every deletion request before processing. After receiving your email, we will:

• Confirm your identity by matching the request against the email address on file for the account
• Send a confirmation email to the registered account address to ensure the request is authorised
• Begin processing only after verification is complete

3. What Gets Deleted

Once your request is verified, we permanently delete the following data associated with your account:

• Your account profile and login credentials
• App data associated with your user account (e.g., jobs, customers, schedules, quotes)
• Preferences and settings
• Any uploaded files or attachments

4. What May Be Retained (and Why)

Certain records may be retained after account deletion where we are required to do so by law. These include:

• Tax and invoicing records – retained to comply with financial reporting and tax obligations
• Payment dispute and fraud logs – retained to meet regulatory requirements and protect against fraudulent claims
• Legal or regulatory records – any other data we are legally obligated to keep

Retained data is stored securely and is only used for the specific legal or regulatory purpose that requires its retention.

5. Retention Periods

Where legal obligations require us to retain certain data, it is kept only for as long as required by the applicable law or regulation. Once the retention period expires, the data is permanently deleted.

6. Timeline for Completion

We aim to complete all verified account deletion requests within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
